~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor;
those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing;
they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet,
you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head,
and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
Magic (Dragon's Lair's Magic Miss)
Magic (Dragon's Lair's Magic Missile) 12/11/2011-10/25/2022
Magic (formerly Winter) lived up to her name! She was a sweet, gentle, and beautiful girl. She loved her special chair, being part of the pack, and the mahi mahi I would slip her at the table when I thought my wife wasn't looking. After nine wonderful years with her, we had to say goodbye at the end of October. Her "big sister" Nyxie and "big brother" Dazzy were surely waiting at the bridge to welcome her home and take her for long walks and fast romps in a huge yard again.
Gracie
Gracie (racing name Dakota Kat) was the perfect dog. She enjoyed walks, naps on the couch, and digging. Her happy teeth chattering always brought a smile to my face. This sweet girl was a beloved part of our family for 10 years. Those years passed all too quickly and we said goodbye to her just a few weeks shy of her turning 14. I am devastated. Gracie changed my life. She brought joy and healing unlike any other dog I’ve ever known. She was my heart dog and I will miss her every moment.
Jesse
His professional race name was Raiders Majestic. He liked to be called Jesse. He was an absolute gentle giant. Jesse loved everyone he met. He gave great Greyhound hugs. On adoption day, most people shied away from him. We think they were intimidated by his size and strength. But one look into those eyes and Larry knew what a wonderful boy he was. He joined our family and brought us such joy and gave so much love. For four years we were blessed to have him in our lives. On Monday, July 20 we had to say goodbye and let him run free. Cancer took him from us. I know he's with his sister Dazz and pain free. We will never forget the happiness he brought into our lives.
Love you Jesse, forever.
GRACIE
We lost our beloved Gracie (age 10) after a very short battle with metastatic liver cancer. She was the kindest, sweetest, most patient creature that ever lived, and we were lucky to have her for 8 short years. Gracie was part of our family and loved by everyone who met her. We miss her greatly.
