About Chillin Out

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Color: Brindle

LB's Chillin Out is a striking looking little girl with the cutest face--just look at the striking brindle swirls on her face!!--very unusual. She is slightly reserved at first but at the same time friendly--once she feels comfortable, she is friendly and happy to receive attention and affection. The folks at the kennel in Florida reported that she was "reserved when she arrived at the kennel, but you wouldn't know it when she got comfortable."  We saw the very same behavior in this sweetie.  She enjoys the company of the other dogs. She walks well on leash. Chillin Out is 2 years old and cat tolerant with supervision.

Inmate Handler Update:
"Chillin Out is a good dog.  She enjoys attention. She's trained to use the outside for her bathroom. She a peaceful dog. All Chillin Out does is "chill."

Foster Update 5/17/2016--Chillin Out is now in a foster home:

"Chillin Out, we call her Jeanie, is very sweet although somewhat reserved at first.
You have to give her time to warm up.  Then she becomes very
playful:  She loves all the toys,  loves her food, plays nicely with the other
greys.  She watches Eddie (our male grey), and does what he does.

Jeanie loves the daily walks we take.  All four go on the walk
together and we stop to greet people on the way, so that she can get
used to more people.  She walks very nicely on the leash.
Jeanie follows me around in the house.

She does not have accidents in the house.  The other greys taught
her how to go out through a doggie door when she needs to, otherwise
she will let you know when she needs to go out..

She tolerates her crate for meals, but tires of it quickly.  If she wants a
snack between meals, she goes in the crate and waits for you, or tries to help
herself. She is learning not to serf the counters and get into things that are
not her toys.

She would do best with another dog, and a fenced in yard.
Jeanie is a beautiful sweet greyhound.
She just needs some patience, and she will be your best friend."
