Heart O Gold is beinging relinquished along with her "sister" Remi through no fault of theirs but for family reasons. They are bonded and need to be placed together. We are looking for an adopting home and/or foster home for these two girls. Both of them have lived with kids and should be cat tolerant. They are sweet, loving girls who need a break and a helping hand. If you scroll down, you will see what the original foster back in 2016 said about this girl. Heart O Gold is now 10 1/2 years old and her sister is 7 1/2 years old. If you can help, please call Linda at 732 356 4370.

WJS Heart O Gold is such a nice girl who is charming and so pretty. She is very friendly, calm, gives kisses and walks great on leash--what more could you want in such a pretty package. She is attentive and curious--a social butterfly. Heart of Gold is 4 years old and cat tolerant with supervision.
Foster Update 2/9/2016
WJS Heart O Gold (Goldie) is a beautiful light brindle girl born September 9, 2011. She is a happy and affectionate girl and has been a true lady in her foster home.
ü She is good with our four highly active cats (Bengals).
ü While Goldie is playful, she is also calm.
ü Is good with our kids, ages 10 and 14
ü Gets along with our two male greyhounds and another foster female greyhound. One male is a goofball, the other is a debonair older gentleman, and the female is a fun-loving girl.
ü Is highly affectionate.
ü Eats well; has shown no food aggression.
ü Has not demonstrated and space aggression.
ü Sleeps well at night on a dog bed next to our bed.
ü Is very trusting, often lounging in the greyhound “roaching” position (on her back with all four legs in the air)
ü Walks well on a leash.
ü Rides well in the car.
ü Mastered the stairs is adept at walking on our wood, tile, and laminate flooring.
ü Crates well while we are at work.
ü Has had no accidents in the house.
ü Is eager to please and learns quickly.
As GFNJ foster dogs are not allowed on furniture, we have had to correct her when we find her on our couches. She has not attempted to get on a bed.
Overall, Goldie is an adorable girl and we are truly enjoying her company. She would do well as either an only dog or with other dogs. Because she is so calm and obedient, Goldie would make a great first dog. She is a bright light that will make you smile. She’ll welcome your hugs and will hug you back. Goldie is a precious, sweet girl who will bring with her an abundance of love andjoy.
