KB's Numerator whose call name is "Lasta" is the cutest little girl. She's sweet and friendly but not at all pushy. She interacted with everyone and was happy to wait and watch until it was her turn. She walks nicely on leash. Lasta is 2 years old and cat tolerant with supervision.
Foster Update 11/18/2015
Lasta has been with me for six weeks and has come such a long way from the nervous little girl I brought home. She has settled into the household routine and enjoys romps in the yard with my 3 greys and 2 galgos. She also loves stuffies, removing them one at a time from the toy bin and carrying them across the room to her pile and when she is ready to relax a chew on the nylabone and a nap are in order. She will let you know if she has to go out by pacing around the room and she sleeps through the night on a bed in my bedroom. New sounds still make her nervous both indoors and outside but she is slowly getting used to the everyday sounds of life, lawn mowers and airplanes flying over no longer spook her. She does not like to be crated but has done very well muzzled with my dogs and given the run of the house when I am gone, she has been left for up to 8 hours without any mishaps. She also did well with my house guest over the weekend, did not allow pets but did sniff and lick her hands and feet and never hid from her, she actually was quite comfortable laying on a bed beside her chair. She now routinely comes to me inside and outdoors for pets and loving, she is becoming very sweet and affectionate and has the cutest way of looking at me. She still struggles with being walked on a leash and being outside of my fenced yard is quite scary so she is happiest in the safety of a fenced yard with the company of my greys. She will overcome this fear in time also, she is still so young and will only be turning 2 in December. If you have at least one grey who is playful, a fenced yard and some patience and understanding won’t you give this sweet little girl a chance. She will reward you with her trust and loyalty for years to come.
Foster Update 10/7/2015
Lasta is a beautiful little girl that is on the timid side and needs to build her confidence. She is currently living with 4 greys and 2 galgos and gets along great with all of them. She has been a perfect house guest, no accidents, no counter surfing and sleeps through the night. She loves her toys, not destroying them but carrying them around and tossing them in the air. She is trying so hard to fit in and often allows me to quietly approach her and give her attention when she is on her bed and will sometimes approach me with the other dogs to sniff and lick my hand or sneak up behind me and nudge me with her nose. In one day she went from a dog that hid in her crate to wanting only to lay on a nice soft dog bed close to the other dogs and me and I have even seen her share a bed with one of my dogs. She does need the company of another grey or two and a fenced yard as unfamiliar sounds can startle her and she can be a little nervous outdoors during the day. But she is so brave and I have seen her confidence build every day as she gets used to the sounds of the outdoor world. At night however she is a different dog outdoors, she runs around the yard with a toy shaking and tossing it and play bows to me then takes off in a crazy run around the yard, not a care in the world. If you have the patience and understanding to give this little girl a chance to learn to trust you and overcome her apprehensions I can assure you that the reward will be her devoted love and companionship for many years.
