Spike was recently relinquished after a brief adoption--it just didn't work out with the adopters.  Spike is back with GFNJ and doing well.  He is having his teeth cleaned today and then will be ready to go again.  Won't you consider this sweet boy.  He would do best with older children.

No, Spike is not a full greyhound but he has some characteristics of a greyhound and coonhound.  He was being given up on Craigslist and one of our adopters took him with the intent to foster him.  They have a puppy and the puppy was just a little too annoying for Spike. They asked GFNJ to help which we are happy to be able to do.  Spike is 9 years old, in good health and cat tolerant with supervision. Due to his age, there is a reduced adoption fee to $135.

Spike is a 9 year old greyhound/coonhound mix.  He is very laid back and is happiest when he can be snuggled up next to one of his human family members.  Spike is a total love and a mush!!  He is housetrained, up to date in all shots and very low maintenance.  Spike does like to be allowed on couches to sleep the day away.  He is currently left at home alone approximately 6 to 7 hours a day uncrated with no accidents. If you are looking for a companion that will be easy to care for, that has a lot of love for everyone he meets, Spike is your boy!
