KB's Fly By Me "FlyBy" is one gorgeous boy who is described as a "tuxedo" with his white socks, white snip on his nose, white tip on his tail and white chest--stunning. He's a little tentative at first but once he got to know us and trust us, he was playful and happy. He's very affectionate and walks nicely on leash. The hauler today said "this is my favorite dog on this haul"--how adorable. Fly By Me turned 3 years old in October and cat is tolerant with supervision.
Foster Update 11/25/2014
This is one debonair gentleman. He is the embodiment of glamour and sophistication wearing that gorgeous tuxedo and he's ready to waltz right into your life. Say hello to KB's Fly By Me (Fly By). Born October 8, 2011, this three year old is doing well in his foster home, which includes three cats, two resident greyhounds, one other foster greyhound and two kids, boys ages 9 and 13. He ignores the cats and is very good with the dog-friendly kids. He gets along well with the three greyhounds he is sharing the home with - one is bossy, one is very shy and one is the wise, old pack leader.
Fly By has mastered the stairs, along with walking on our wood, tile and laminate flooring. He sleeps through the night on a dog bed next to our bed; during the day, he has been crated while we are at work. He goes into the crate without hesitation, though we feel he is ready to be left uncrated when we are not at home. Fly By has excellent leash manners; as I said on a social media post, he is as smooth and in synch on a leash as Fred was to Ginger. Fly By has shown no food or space aggression.
This elegant boy is highly affectionate; he seeks out pettings and loves to be with the people and dogs in the house. While he is confident and curious, he does not appear to be an alpha and gladly follows the cues and movements of our dogs - he has been learning, and quickly, from them. We feel he will do well in a home with another dog or an an only dog.
He is very handsome with incredible muscle definition - a true athlete. He has a thin, white blaze down his nose, a broad white chest, white on the tip of his tail and each paw is white - it looks like he is donning spats with his tuxedo.
Fly By has a warm, happy spirit. He will bring both, along with a love of life, to his forever home. In addition to being a real head-turner, he is a gracious hound who is eager to please and full of heart. If you're considering letting him into yours, he will dedicate himself to you and mutual years of happiness.
