Dramaticfinish whose call name is "Little Spots" is another one of those big lovable "mooshie" boys that we like so much. Little Spots is a playful, friendly, very affectionate, happy boy who leans on whomever is next to him. He walks nicely on leash. Little Spots is 3 years old and cat tolerant with supervision. He is one of the 7 siblings that we welcomed.
Foster Update 8/1/2014
So handsome and debonair! Meet Little Spots, track name Dramaticfinish. But there's no drama here! Born February 25, 2011, Spots retired from racing after competing in 73 races. He is tall with large brindle patches on a background of white, spotted fur - he is quite regal. Spots is one of seven siblings received simultaneously in the care of Greyhound Friends of NJ - an extraordinarily rare occurrence.
Spots gets along with our two greyhounds and our two dog-friendly children, ages 9 and 13. As for the three cats-in-residence, Spots has made it clear that he wants nothing to do with them and avoids them as much as possible. He eats well, is a gentleman on his leash and has had no accidents in the house. He enjoys riding in the car. Spots has also conquered the staircase and goes up and down with no issues. The wood/tile/laminate flooring have also been overcome, elevating him to the rank of Expert House Dweller. He is crated while we are at work; he goes in without hesitation. He sleeps through the night on a dog bed next to our bed.
Exceptionally affectionate, Spots enjoys getting and giving hugs without being overbearing. He likes playing in the yard with our hounds, but is independent enough to explore our home and yard on his own. His intelligence is demonstrated through his curiosity. At the same time, he is not an alpha but still exudes confidence. Our judgment is that he will do well with another calm dog or as an only-dog. This quick learner has made it a point to study us and our dogs for cues on our expectations for his behavior - he is eager to please and to fit into the routine of our busy home. In a short time, he's done quite a successful job of it. We are quite impressed with him.
Spots has an absolutely charming personality. He is as loving and sweet as he is easy going and intelligent. He will dedicate himself to the person or people lucky enough to adopt him. Truly, he has a warm spirit that one can not help but fall in love with.
