About Dineroconnie "Chloe"

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Color: Red

Dinneroconnie who is now named "Chloe"  was adopted in November, 2013 however, she needs to be rehomed.  Below is information from her heartbroken family:
Our story;

We lost our first grey to cancer several years back and then we adopted Zee, an 85lb Black Greyhound. Zee fit right into our family and is a mellow older dog.  In time, we wanted to get another grey as a companion to our 7yr Zee.   What we didn’t anticipate was that our 85 year old parent that lives with us would not be able to adapt to a another pet.  Although Chloe is a loving and playful greyhound and has adapted wonderfully to home life, the needs and abilities of our aging parent are becoming bigger obstacles.  This has been a hard realization for us, but have made the decision that we need to find Chloe another home to ensure a stable environment for our parent.

Chloe’s personality;
She gets along wonderfully with our other grey. They respect each other’s space.  There is no food aggression at all.  She has learned to play with squeaky toys and loves to chew on her bones.  We have introduced her to cats and she is fine with them.  She loves to run in the yard and chase squirrels up trees and mingle along the fence with the neighbor’s dogs.  She loves to cuddle with us and shows great affection. She runs and plays happily… especially in the rain.

Chloe’s habits;
We feed her Taste of the Wild food twice a day (about 6am and 6pm).   She loves things like yogurt, cooked fish, vegetables mixed in to her food as a treat.  She takes a joint supplement .  She loves peanut butter and apples in her bone as a treat too.  She is a healthy 54 lbs., has been micro-chipped and is up to date on all her shots and heartworm med.

 Dineroconnie whose call name is "Connie" is an adorable little girl at only about 55 pounds.  She's very friendly with a gentle face and eyes.  She loved the attention that she received and was quite comfortable with all the volunteers.  She was in a foster home in Florida as she dislocated her hock while racing in the summer.  Her foster Mom in Florida says "Connie likes to go on walks, plays in the back yard.  She crates while the foster is at work but sleeps loose in the house at night.  She has good house manners.  She uses her leg when walking but when she runs she lifts it up which is common with leg injuries."      Connie is 3 years old.
