Can't get much cuter than Issoula. She is a cute little 3 year old girl who is sweet and cat tolerant with supervision. She had an old broken leg but needed some treatment from our orthopedist, Dr. Zolton. She will be ready to go to her forever home in about the second or third week of June. She is in a foster home and doing great--more to follow.
Foster Update: "Issy" is a little doll. Very petite, SUPER SUPER affectionate, and quite beautiful, as you can see from her pictures. Issy has been a very good little houseguest for her foster mom. Her housebreaking is coming along great, and she hasn't barked once yet, even when the Memorial Day Parade came down the street right in front of the house! She watched the whole thing through the front window and at the side fence. Issy is on a leash whenever she is outdoors while she completes her recovery, so she isn't allowed to run and play with the other greyhounds just yet. When the other greyhounds suddenly start to zip around and wrestle, she is obviously interested in joining in, but she's very agreeable and polite about the fact she isn't allowed to do that just yet and stays quiet when you give her a pat. Issy may be small, but I've watched her use her small size to her advantage around the much larger greyhounds to squeeze into any small opening when they gather around me for attention, to make sure she gets her share of affection! She is an absolute love. Issy adores chewing on hard bones, and she must be smart too - because she picks around in the "bone bucket" and always chooses the largest one! Issy is a very get-along girl with the other dogs, and doesn't seem concerned about large groups of children playing outside next door. She would be easy to add to your greyhound family, or probably be an only dog if you have the time to spend with her.
Update 6/3/2008: Issoula just got a "clean bill of health" from Dr. Zolton, Orthopedist. He told us that Issy's leg is healed which means that she is ready for her forever home.
