Braska Pitch was recently relinquished--he would like to be with another greyhound. What a striking boy and a sweet-heart! He's in a foster home and has adjusted without missing a beat.
Foster Update 3/3/2013
Braska has truly made himself at home and has been a pleasure to host. He has superb manners and is very quiet. He's cuddly with people and our two Greyhounds - he loves giving and getting gentle affection. He is also highly confident and welcoming of strangers when we take him out in public, either walking him or at events. Indeed, he is an excellent Greyhound ambassador and represents his brethren well.
Braska is gentle with my two young, dog-friendly kids. He's very sweet, walks on a leash like a dream and is obedient; he'll thrive in a home with another Greyhound. This boy is full of charm and endears himself to everyone he meets. He would do best in a non-cat home.
Foster Update 2/5/2013:
The stunning Braska has been with us for four days and has already become a positive addition to the "pack." My two Greyhounds adore him and have enjoyed his company. As he thrives with other dogs, he would be the right fit for a home that already has one or more Greyhounds.
Braska has also been sharing our home with our cats; he is in the same room with them when supervised. While he is curious about the cats and has approached them, he has been easily redirected away from them.
While he is very playful, making full use of the treasure trove of dog toys at his disposal, he's also highly intelligent. Braska learns quickly and is eager to please. Since coming to stay with us, we have crate trained him. It has been a successful process and we've seen his self confidence and trust in us balloon. Braska sleeps in his crate while we are at work and chooses a dog bed over his crate at night. He is nearing the point where I will give him the choice of an open crate or a dog bed while we are at work. As for walking on a leash, he gets right into step, following our lead without missing a beat.
Braska has been very gentle with my two dog-friendly kids, ages 7 and 11, and recognizes them as "alphas." He is always happy to greet visitors with a wagging tail. A genuine cuddler, this boy is full of love. His permanent home will be lucky to have the precious presence he brings.

Braska Pitch is one striking boy and sweet! He's friendly, playful, very responsive and interactive and he walks nicely on leash. On of the volunteers in Florida who knows Pitch described him as "delicious"--we would agree! We found him to be cat workable in that he could be directed away from the cat.
