SWEET BOY--NEEDS SOME TLC

About Brasko Igor

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Color: Light Fawn

Brasko Igor is my kind of boy--sweet as anything and just needs some TLC. He's slightly reserved at first and was described by the kennel folks in Florida as "quiet and reserved who would like a person to just glue himself too."  We really liked this boy and just wanted to give him a hug--we all need a hug sometime. Igor is 4 years old and cat tolerant with supervision.

Foster Update 11/15/2012

Beau has come a long, long way since he first came to us.  He has gained a lot of confidence and has become a very happy boy!   Just look at the photos of him below when he first arrived at the kennel and the photo of him on the right in our yard.  You can see the difference in him by the way he is standing – very proud, stately and confident!

Although Beau initially had problems with the stairs, he has mastered going up and down our five stairs.  He probably shouldn’t be place in a home with more than five or six stairs at the most, however.

We feel that Beau would do best if placed with another dog.  When he’s away from his foster brothers and sisters, he is very unhappy but perks up when he rejoins them.  Beau would be a great addition to a family with older children and other pets (he’s very gentle with cats).

 Foster Update 6/2012

Brasko Igor (nicknamed Beau) is a very sweet, calm and gentle boy.   Beau gets along very nicely with his foster brothers and sisters and fits right in with them.  He has great house manners and isn’t pushy with the other dogs.   Beau doesn’t seem to mind being around small dogs or cats although he loves to chase the squirrels and chipmunks in the yard!  He  is an intelligent boy and takes direction very well.  He would do best in a home where he wouldn’t have to go up and down a lot of steps.  He will go up and down four or five steps at a time but any more than that frightens him.  We are working with him however, to overcome this fear.

Beau is looking for someone to love him and someone he can love back.  Although he is happy spending time in the yard, he would love to find someone that shares his love of going for walks around the block.
