About Dag Nabit Drive "Abbey"

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Color: Whte/dk brindle/black

Dag Nabit Drive who is called "Abbey" was recently relinquished due to a change in family dynamics which was the addition of a baby. She is back with her original foster family from 3 years ago and has picked up where she left off there.  Abbey will be 6 this month, October.  She really is a sweet, lovable girl  See below:
Current Foster Update 10/7/2015

Dagnabit Drive…Abbey has fallen right into place. It’s like she never left. She is really a sweet little luv bug and the tension in the house is non-existent. She is letting us know when she wants to go out and will come over to you for some love, but is not intrusive. She has tested out all the beds…including the human one’s and is quickly learning she doesn’t belong on OUR beds. She has the cutest chitter…it’s so loud and rapid, it sounds like a wood pecker!! She’s laying on her bed right now talking to me and chittering…she wants a belly rub. She sleeps in the bedroom at night with us and the other dogs, no incidents. She is fine with both our dogs (grey and dobie) and loves our 11 yr.old daughter. She doesn’t seem too interested in the toddlers, but will let them pet her (under supervision). She is a very calm, happy girl who will do well as an only pet as well as a 2nd or 3rd + fur baby. PS. The black spots on her head from her original post are a little gray-er.

 Original Posting from 2012

Dag Nabit Drive is a striking and very unusually marked girl--she's mostly white with a tad of dark brindling and black--like I said--striking. Dag Nabit Drive is very friendly and gives kisses. She already knows how to play with toys!!  She walks nicely on leash and impressed us all with her sweet confidence. She loves people but no cats, please.  Dag Nabit Drive is 2 years old.

Foster Update 4/20/2012:

Dag Nabit Drive is such a sweet girl that we had to give her a nice name to
call her by. We are calling her Abbie. We don't normally name our fosters,
we leave that up to the forever family, but in this case we HAD to make an
exception! She is a quiet, happy girl who loves being in a home. She has
mastered stairs, walks nicely on a leash, is house broken, and gets along
great with the other dogs in the house( M&F). She's good with kids and LOVES
belly rubs! So much so that she rolls over anytime someone walks past her on
her pillow. She plays with toys and likes chews. She has "roo-d" a couple of
times when she didn't know where I was.( it was actually kind of cute)She
crates well and goes in there to lay down all the time which is really nice
since our dogs always lay in the middle of the floor and you trip over them
when you walk across the room! She would make a nice addition to any home as
an only dog as well as a 2nd, 3rd, etc. She also sleeps through the night,
THAT'S A PLUS IN MY BOOK!
