Redbone is back with his foster mom but really not because of anything he did. The family had young children. Redbone just wasn't happy with the normal activity of young children and he retreated--the adoptive family knew that he wasn't happy and did what was best for his happiness and they returned him. If you are looking for a sweet boy who does great with a quieter life-style and adults--this boy is for you. He's affectionate and makes a great companion. Read the foster update from 1/24/2012 and that says it all!!

RJ's Redbone is one gorgeous and striking boy. He's affectionate and friendly and looks lovinginly directly into your eyes. He loved the attention that he was receiving but he's not pushy. He walks nicely on leash. Redbone is just another one of those boys who is a big moosh and a leaner. His trainer in Florida thinks that he would do well with children. Redbone is turning 3 in January and he's cat tolerant with supervision.
Foster Update 1/24/2012
Redbone will make such a loyal best friend! He is a beautiful, calm boy with a nice personality who will easily bond to his new owner as he did to me. He looks right into your eyes and it will just melt your heart. Redbone was featured on Fox's morning show TV adoption segment January 19th. Now I call him somewhat of a TV star!
This sweet laid back guy has been in my town home for only 9 days and he is doing great. He shares his space with 3 cats, 2 greyhounds and 2 adults.
He is a little reserved when meeting children in the house and outside. This may subside in time. For now, Redbone is just happy to have you near to teach him what this new life is all about. He LOVES his chew bone and it really seems to keep him busy for hours until he is just too sleepy to keep his eyes open...TOO CUTE! He will easily share his space with me if I lay with him (while I give him lots of hugs of course.) He really enjoys my other dogs for company and guidance but all three like there own space. He ignores my 3 cats completely. I love to see Redbone's tail wagging when we come home. He missed us!
Outside- He walks with confidence and excellence throughout our quiet town home community. He gets happy to see other dogs (big and small) he greets them nicely. His favorite place I take him is the state park near my house. He just loves walking through the trails in the woods with me.
Redbone could be an only dog if you are home often or work from home. If you work full time, Redbone would probably do best with another dog/dogs in the house to keep him company. Of course, he would love a fenced yard but Redbone will do well leash walked in low key neighborhood away from city life.
Will you give this boy the love, affection and kindness he deserves?
