Adoption Pending !

Jake is a loving, handsome 7-year-old male greyhound looking for the right home. He is always looking to nuzzle up to you, put his head in your lap and is so happy to see you when you get home that he can get a bit goofy and playful. Then he relaxes and spends the night wherever you are just to be close to you. Jake is a total gentleman on the leash and does not pull or jump at people or other dogs who want to say hello. He has perfect household manners — he doesn’t see furniture as a snack, is completely housebroken and would adjust very easily to a new home. Not at all anxious, Jake would not have an issue being left to rest at home while you are at work. Jake’s only issue is that he has an uncertain history that has made him “sleep defensive” — he doesn’t like to be laid on by people or other dogs while he is sleeping. For this reason, the perfect home for Jake would be one that doesn’t have small children or other animals. In this situation though, he would be a dog that you would love to have in your home. The only thing he is looking for is to have someone love him for the rest of his life.
