Barts Cappy "Bart" was recently returned to GFNJ as there were very young children in the family and it just wasn't the right fit for them or for Bart. He would do his very best in a home with older children and adults. Bart is in a foster home and doing great--this boy needs a break as he is such a great boy.

Barts Cappy is one handsome boy with a striking personality to match. He is a classical looking greyhound with a face that is just breath-taking. He is sweet, friendly and calm and walks nicely on leash. He gave us big smiles and his tail never stopped wagging--even during his bath. This cutie turned 4 in Aug. and he s cat tolerant with supervision.
UPDATE: 10/18/10 -
Bart was our dog for a week and he would have been our dog for the rest of
his life if we didn't find out that my wife and son are highly allergic.
Bart is gentle, loving, patient and great with young children. Bart loves
to lay around near his people but is also very playful if you show him it's
OK. Bart would be a great addition to anyone's family. We only wish he
could have stayed with ours.
Foster Update:
Barts Cappy is one of the happiest dogs I’ve ever fostered. His helicopter tail never stops waving and, if he’s resting on his bed and you just look at him, the tail starts thumping! Very cute. Cuteness aside, Bart is adjusting to the good life of home living very well. He sleeps through the night in the bedroom with me and his 3 other grey housemates. He doesn’t mind if any of the dogs come near him when he’s on his bed (don’t forget, friendly is his middle name), and he gets along well with all of them. He is crated when I need to go out, but he doesn’t seem to mind. The other dogs keep him company. He has had no accidents in the house. Bart walks nicely on a leash and enjoys a stroll around the neighborhood each day. He is learning house manners and is well on his way to becoming a wonderful friend to some lucky adopter!
Foster Update – Sept 25
Bart continues to adjust to home life. He’s such a good boy, completely housebroken, getting along well with his greyhound housemates, and learning to play with some toys. He’s also learning some basic things like wait and leave it, and attended his first Meet & Greet today. He was an excellent ambassador – going out to say hello to everyone, even to some other breeds of dogs, and lots of children too. His helicopter tail never stopped wagging. Bart is an all around greyt dog and is patiently waiting for his forever home.
