Guindilla "Gwen" is a very petite Galgo who we recently welcomed from Spain and Galgos DelSol (GDS).  Guindilla arrived with her sister Avispa.  The rescue partners at GDS said the following: " Guidilla and her equally gorgeous sister were turned in by their galguerro. Concerned at first, they quickly got into the swing of things with madly wagging tails and excitement to meet everyone.  Since they have never been separated, we would like them homed together or at least with another Galgo or greyhound."       We agree with this description totally. Guindilla is just a happy, girl who acted like she never met a stranger.  She just turned 4 years old and is cat tolerant with supervision.

We require a 6-foot fence or no fence and walking on leash of the Galgo because some galgos are known to be able to jump over a 4-foot fence.  In addition, it is a requirement of GDS, and one that we indorse, that the dogs wear a tracking collar should there be an unfortunate incident of the Galgo getting loose.

Gwen is in a foster home with another greyhound and doing quite well.  Her sister Avi is in another foster home with  greyhounds and they are both adjusting nicely.
