Layla was recently relinquished after only a few days--the match just didn't work out. Layla is in a foster home. She would do best with another friendly dog and a fenced yard. She is doing well in foster home and although she was apprehensive at first, she is warming up and needs time to adjust where ever she goes.

Layla recently arrived from Ireland with her greyhound friends. She isn't a full greyhound but is considered a "lurcher" or a cross between a greyhound or whippet and another hunting breed. Whatever Layla is, she is just an adorable, little, loving girl. The folks in Ireland gave the following account about Layla:
Gorgeous little whippy cross Layla. Fawn Female Born 3/30/2021. Layla came into our care as she had been hit by a car and her leg was broken. The travellers couldn’t afford to have her treated so they asked us to take her. She had plates put into her back leg to fix the bad break. She is fine on it now. She can go for walks, off lead runs etc with no issues. Layla is a young, friendly, playful girl who is full of beans. She is a very confident girl. She is very used to being around dogs of all breeds. She’s small too. I think she might be too excitable for very young children.
In addition, Layla's leg surgery was last year and it was recently X-rayed and everyting looks good!
Layla is about a year and a half old and cat tolerant with supervision. Her adoption fee is $750 to help to defray the high cost of transportation.
