Hannah is an adorable, little girl who we recently welcomed from Puerto Rico. She is a Sato dog which is a type of street dog. The Sato refers to a small to medium-sized stray dog. Satos are often similar in appearance to a small Pointer or Terrier. These free-ranged dogs are known to make excellent family pets. Unlike other "feral" dogs, the Satos have a small territory, and many are always in contact with humans.
Hannah is a happy, friendly girl who just seems to want to please. She looks longingly into your eyes for some affection and will make a great lap dog. She walks nicely on leash. She was described by the folks at the rescue in Puerto Rico as "super sweet and in a foster home there." She is about 2 years old and although she loves people, no cats, please. She weighs about 30 pounds. She has been heartworm positive in Puerto Rico but has gone through all of the treatments and is medically cleared to travel to GFNJ and to be adopted. Her adoption fee is $500 to help to defray the cost of travel and care.
