About Golden Gate

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Color: Black

Golden Gate who is called "Cash" is one handsome boy. He was relinquished due to separation anxiety in that he just could not be alone. He is in a foster home with other greyhounds and doing well. He is not quite 2 years old. He will need a home with another greyhound and a fenced yard where he can relax and enjoy himself. He really is a very sweet guy.

Foster Update, November 2020

Cash is a tall, very handsome boy who loves people and toys.  He gets along well with cats (with mild correction when he tries to engage them in play).

He suffers from separation anxiety and general anxiety.  He will require a quiet home where someone will be home most of the time.  He will also need a home with other greyhounds.  He pulls strength from their confidence and lead. He does not like non-greyhounds and has a possessive/protective side as well.

Cash loves to run and do zoomies, so a fenced yard is a must.  He also enjoys his walks once he is slowly introduced to his route accompanied with his pack.  Their confidence helps him in all situations.

Cash sleeps like a baby, eats very well and accepts calm, patient direction.  He does not react well to loud noises, new situations, etc.  He truly is a sweet, loving dog who wants so much to please.  Patience, structure and calm, experienced leadership will bring out his best.

Golden Gate is a very handsome, good-sized boy. He is the sibling to Golden Globe who arrived with Golden Gate.  He is a calm boy who is slightly reserved at first but warms up and will give little kisses. He is a baby at only 17 months of age, so he will need some TLC and he will learn. He is a sweet boy and was described as a "gentle giant" which aptly describes Golden Gate. He is cat tolerant with supervision. He walks nicely on leash but is somewhat fearful to cross door thresholds--with some patience, he will learn to not be fearful.
