Laya isn't a greyhound but she sure is cuteis a very sweet girl who needed to be saved. We received a special plea to rescue her as a Code Red (urgent) dog from an NC shelter. The staff and volunteers all really liked her and made every effort to find her a safe haven. She is such a special girl that one of the volunteers offered to foster her until she could be spayed and come to NJ. Laya is here in NJ with GFNJ and she has been a delight. She is slightly reserved at first but warms up once she trusts the people around her--a quite natural response. Laya and Junior were both owned by an elderly man who became ill and the dogss had to be relinquished to the shelter. Laya is approximately 2 years, 9 months. She only weighs about 35 pounds but could use some weight with good food.
