Pat C Skagway whose call name is "Skagway" is a very striking looking girl. She is friendly but not pushy. She was described by her caregivers in Florida as "super sweet." That aptly describes this calm girl who is just a good middle of the road girl. She seems easy going and wants to please with a go-along attitude. Pat C Skagway is 3 years old and cat tolerant with supervision.
Foster Update 7/13/2018
Pat C Skagway will steal your heart! Born November 22, 2014, she’s a gorgeous brindle “cow girl.” She adjusted quickly to the routine of our busy family and home and has been an absolute pleasure to host. She recognizes the adults, kids and even cats in the house as alpha to her. Here’s what you need to know about Skagway:
- She’s affectionate and friendly but also independent; our educated guess is that she would be fine as an “only dog” in her adopter’s home, but would also be fine with other dogs.
- Sleeps through the night.
- Loves her crate! When we’re home, the door is always open. She likes to chill in it.
- Gets along with our two male greyhounds (a goofy 9-year-old and a 14-year-old elder statesman).
- Does well with our dog-friendly kids, ages 13 and 16.
- Eats well; has shown no food aggression.
- Travels well in the car.
- Walks beautifully on a leash.
- Will make a fantastic “ambassadog” -- she is sociable.
- Is good with cats and pays no attention to them.
- Corrects well.
- We’re working with Skagway on stairs; she’s making great progress and will master them soon. She is learning not walk with confidence on wood/laminate/tile flooring and does better every day.
