French Fortress is a beautiful brindle girl who is very happy with life. She is friendly and outgoing with a sweet face. She is not pushy but enjoyed all of the attention that she was getting during her photo session. This 2 year old was cat workable in that with correction she may be able to live with a cat. FOSTER UPDATE 2/21/2009: French Fortress, called “Frenchy” for now, is a sweet, gentle soul. At 2 ½, she is still a young dog with no experience in a home so she is learning the “ropes” from her four foster sibs- 3 female greys and a female pit bull. She is crated during the day and due to the foster mom’s long work day, a dog walker comes in at mid-day to let her out. She is learning the dog door and can come in but still needs help going out-but she is a quick learner so she should figure this out in a few days. She gets along very well with the other dogs and is definitely not an alpha. We think she would enjoy the company of another dog-especially if her new owner is gone during the day. She often comes over to her foster mom for a pat and looks to her for confidence when she is unsure of what to do. Her happiest time is out of the crate, stretched-out on a big fluffy dog bed while we all watch TV. She has only been in foster care for a week so we will post updates as she progresses.
