TNT Gran Torino whose call name is "Walt" is a very handsome boy. He is also very friendly and loves attention and gives attention and affection. He is a big boy who will make a good companion. One of the volunteers described him as "huggable" which is a very good description of this "mooshie" boy. Walt is 4 years old and although he loves people, no cats, please.
Foster Update 7/10/2017
Walt is a wonderful dog. He is sweet, mild mannered, quiet and a quick learner. He has bonded with me and, especially, with my husband. He saw neighborhood kids from a distance and got happy and excited. We live in a split level so there are just a few stairs but they are in many room: kitchen, dining room, living room, and family room. He is willing to trust us with them and he is making extremely good progress. He is eating well and has not had any accidents at all. He slept on the floor of our bedroom last night and was calm and quiet all night. He is a strong boy and who knows what he wants, and if I have food (for me) he will try to muscle in but after a few unsuccessful attempts, he will lay down and let me eat. I know he is a foster, not ours to keep but, while he's with us, we will call him Clint Eastwood instead of Walt. Walt was my father's name so it's a little weird. Besides, the character Walt from Grand Torino spent decades as a miserable bigot who caused a lot of hurt feelings before finally having an epiphany. This dog could not be more different from that. He is loving, intuitive, and eager to please. And Clint Eastwood would be an appropriate name for such a handsome boy.
