Pat C Violante (fondly called Violet) is as pretty as a new copper penny. She is an adorable girl who is friendly and outgoing and very interactive. This 3 year old girl loves people but is not good with cats.
FOSTER UPDATE 12/15/2008:

Violet is one of the most beautiful little girls you can imagine, with her deep, rich copper colored coat, and eyes that are just slightly tilted, which gives her a slightly exotic look. She is really just stunning. I think she knows she's beautiful, because she loves to look at her reflection any chance she gets! I love Violet. She was already wagging her tail like crazy in the back of the car the night I brought her home from the kennel and she's been wagging it ever since. She is extremely loving and very friendly, and she's an interesting dog to have around. She makes me laugh and I love to try and figure out what she's thinking, because you can tell she clearly is. At first Violet thought the 3 big male greyhounds she is fostered with were pretty darned useless. They step on her and tend to squish her when they all crowd around. But Violet has apparently decided that at least one of these big boys is good for something, since one of them in particular has a nice warm butt that is a very comfy place to rest her head while she sleeps! Although the male seemed a little surprised the first time she snuggled up, Violet just cocked her head, and you didn't need ESP to read her mind - clearly she was telling him, "Hey, I'm just little, and I'm cute, and anyway you owe me for all the times you've stepped on me!" So now Violet has a pillow for her head and it is a regular occurrence, and very cute to see. But Violet isn't a pushover. She is learning an entirely new life and new rules, and coping with dogs who are twice her size, and she's doing a pretty good job! Violet loves her toys, her bed, people, the yard, her food, loves to play, loves to sleep. You get the picture - retirement is good and Violet loves life! About the only thing Violet doesn't love is the disposable aluminum pie pan that makes terrible noise if she counter surfs! She will run up the stairs, wait a few seconds and then slowly come back and peak around the corner to see if the mean pie pan is gone.

Violet will be at the Meet & Greet on December 20th at Phillipsburg Mall if you would like to meet her. It will be her first meet & greet, but for some reason, I think she's going to love it!
