Springwater Ice whose track call name is "Ice" is the cutest little girl. She is happy and very affectionate--a real snuggler who climbed into the lap of one of the volunteers. Her tail never stops wagging. She walks nicely on leash. Ice seems like a well adjusted girl who is just happy. The folks in Florida described her as "super cool and super sweet with batman ears that stand straight up." Ice is 3 years old and cat tolerant with supervision.
Foster Update 12/2/2016:
Springwater Ice is a stunning lady, born January 18, 2013. This fashion model is all legs and quite beautiful. Ice has a welcoming personality and loves to give and get affection. She is a quiet female who has taken on a follower role in our pack, which includes two male greyhounds. She is the type of greyhound we love to take to our Meet-and-Greet events because she is a shining example of a calm, friendly, but not pushy, dog.
Ice has adjusted well to our busy home. Here's what you need to know about this sweet girl:
- Very affectionate.
- Crates well while we are at work/school.
- Gets along well with our two male greyhounds; one is a goofy 8-year-old, the other a calm, 12-year-old elder statesmen.
- Does well with our dog-friendly kids, ages 11 and 15.
- Ignores our 3 cats and 1 kitten.
- She is afraid of the stairs and is slowly meeting the challenge they present to her.
- Walks beautifully on a leash and on our wood/tile/laminate flooring.
- Eats well.
- Travels well in the car.
- Has shown no food or space aggression.
- Is a fabulous “ambassadog.” She welcomes pettings from strangers and has excellent manners.
- No accidents in the house.
Ice has totally endeared herself to our family. While she can start out as cautious in new situations, we enjoy watching her learn and overcome new things. She has a humbleness to her and will look to her adopter for direction, assurance, and love. In turn, she will dedicate her life to the person who gives her a place to call home and a person/people to call family.
