PJ Free Fall whose call name at the track was "PJ". She is a gorgeous little girl who is sweet and friendly. She has the cutest little face that just draws you into her charm. I have to say that she was one of our favorites. The volunteers described her as just a "nice girl who is calm and friendly." PJ is 2 years old and cat workable. she was interested in the cat but could easily be corrected away from the cat. In Florida, she tested to show no interest in the cat, so she is most likely very curious but can be corrected and directed away from the cat.
Foster Write up for Free Fall:
PJ Free Fall, who we call PJ, is a beautiful little girl born April 16, 2014. She is adorable, with a rich, red coat and dark brown eyes that will melt your heart. PJ has some 2-year-old energy that she burns off with long walks, quick runs in our fenced yard, and squeaky toys — she absolutely loves squeaky toys. She’s adjusted well to our busy home. Here’s what you need to know about this cutie pie:
Very affectionate.
Crates well while we are at work/school.
Gets along well with our two male greyhounds; one is a goofy 8-year-old, the other a calm, 12-year-old elder statesmen.
Does well with our dog-friendly kids, ages 11 and 15.
Is afraid of the cats but is curious about them. Sometimes she wants to sniff them, which we don’t encourage and actively discourage, either with a verbal correction or showing her the water spray bottle (which she likes to avoid).
Learned the stairs quickly, along with walking on our wood, tile, and laminate floors.
Walks beautifully on a leash.
Eats well.
Travels well in the car, though when the car is slowed or stopped, she gets antsy.
Enjoys and looks for company. She wants to be in the same room as the people in the house; she also seeks the companionship of our two dogs and doesn’t like to be alone. We recommend that she be adopted into a home with another greyhound or other similar sized, calm dog.
Has shown no food or space aggression.
Is a fabulous “ambassadog.” We took her to a recent event that was rather loud, lots of people, including kids. She was welcoming to anyone who wanted to pet her and took it all in stride.
No accidents in the house.
Is learning house etiquette, like not stealing anything she can pick up. She hasn’t chewed anything, but does take things.
Overall, she corrects well, learns fast, and is eager to please.
PJ is an endearing little girl. She has a welcoming and warm personality and truly enjoys being with people and another dog or dogs. PJ has a young spirit with a spark of puppyhood, yet she’s maturing into adulthood by absorbing all she’s learning about her new world of retirement. She’s looking for a home where she will be loved and where she can give it all back, and more, to the person or people who will be her family. PJ embrace life and brings with her a joyful sense of being.
