About Gracie

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Color: Black

AMF Saying Grace whose call name is "Gracie" is a beautiful, little tuxedo girl (black with a white chest).  She is very happy and friendly with a tail that never stops wagging (even while getting her spa bath). She is interactive and seems up for another adventure. The folks in Florida described her as "a very confident, beautiful little black and white girl who is extremely affectionate and OK with small dogs and cats."  Gracie tested cat tolerant with supervision. She is 3 years old.

(The usual camera didn't work so the pictures do not do Gracie justice."
Foster Update 8/30/2016

AMF Saving Grace was born October 21, 2012. She has a fun personality that complements her beauty well. She's confident and oh-so-happy with a white-tipped tail that she wags with pride. And she is full of affection––she lets you know how much she loves you by giving lots of kisses.

  • No accidents in the house.
  • Eats well.
  • Sleeps all night on a dog bed in our bedroom.
  • Gets along with our two greyhounds and a foster greyhound. Our hounds are both males; one is a suave and sophisticated older gentleman. The other is an 8-year-old goof ball.  Our other foster is a male who is very quiet.
  • Does well with our dog-friendly children, ages 11 and 15.
  • We have three cats that she recognizes as the alphas.
  • Mastered the stairs.
  • Walks well on our wood, tile, and laminate flooring.
  • Crates well when we are not at home.
  • Working on leash manners; she tends to pull a bit but is getting better as she realizes what is expected and acceptable.
  • Does not like to share her bed with another dog. When one of the other greyhounds attempted to sit on a bed with her, she barked at him … he got the message and walked away.
  • Has shown no food aggression.
  • She’s made herself right at home and can often be found “roaching” (on her back, all 4 feet in the air) while she snoozes.

Gracie is a confident girl but acquiesces to the hierarchy in our home (people, followed by cats, followed by our dogs). She is a fast learner and transitioned into home life very quickly. She is a total lover and highly affectionate. She makes us laugh and is eager to please. When you make Gracie a part of your life, you’ll be welcoming a greyhound that embodies what it is to have a true joy for life.
