Fredercio Guy (Freddy) is a handsome boy who we just welcomed into our Greyhound Friends Family from Florida where he was in a foster home. Freddy is on the timid side and will need another greyhound to "buddy with". His foster in Florida reported that Freddy is quiet but has the cute mannerism of putting his chin into his foster parents laps to ask for more affection. Freddy is a real "love bug" who is thriving with affection. This 4 year old boy is cat tolerant. This boy will need a fenced yard.
FOSTER UPDATE: 12/4/08
Frederico Guy -- aka Freddie -- is a special dog -- he is funny and loving in his home environment. He has been in his foster home for about a month and enjoys a walk around a QUIET neighborhood with NOT a lot of cars, people or loud noises. Freddie's favorite comfort zones are the 2 bedrooms which are right off of the kitchen and living room area. He loves to be petted. He is starting to venture into other parts of the house, but his comfort zone is the bedrooms. I think when I am at work during the day and he and the other 3 greys are home alone, he ventures out and explores the rest of the house.

He will probably never be a Meet and Greet dog, though he loves to go for a ride in the car. But once he gets somewhere, he's afraid to get out of the car and would be better off staying in the car or at home.

Freddie is housebroken, and enjoys romping and sniffing in his fenced yard -- a fenced yard and other greys is what Freddie needs to be comfortable. He's a very well behaved boy, and gets along with all the other greys in his foster home and, like most greys, loves mealtime.

If there is a special home out there with another greyhound or two and if you can accept Freddie for what he is and never try to force him to be something he cannot be, he could be the dog for you....his love for affection from you, "his person", is what he enjoys.
