About Cocoa

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Color: White and Black

KB's Cocoa is an adorable little girl. She is happy, friendly and playful. She is affectionate and very interactive. She is curious about her new experiences but not pushy--just happy. The folks in Florida described Cocoa as having a "nice personality and a middle of the road kind of girl." She is 3 years old and cat tolerant with supervision. That blur in the pictures is her tail wagging--LOL

Foster
Update 3/24/2016

In addition to her striking good looks, Cocoa has a pleasing balance of good
qualities - friendly and playful but also calm and well-behaved.  She is very
happy and affectionate but not needy - a great tail wagger. She knows her name
and comes eagerly when called, all wiggly and so glad to see you.  She loves
body contact and will wrap herself around you, leaning so heavily that if you
move, she might fall over!  Since she’s too big to be a lap dog - not for lack
of trying -  she has adopted a standing lap dog position (see photo) whenever
someone has an available lap.

Cocoa
is eager to please and takes direction well.  She  leaves the cat
alone, and rarely picks up things that aren’t hers.  If she does, she responds
quickly to “no” or “leave it.” Cocoa is very food-motivated and therefore easy
to train. In her perfect world, she would love to share the food you’re eating,
but is easily dissuaded by “no” and will walk away.  Housetraining has been a
breeze - she has not had any accidents and stands at the door when she wants
out.  She shows no signs of food or toy aggression or body sensitivity (in her
opinion, the more touching the better!).

Cocoa
enjoys being active and exploring the house and the neighborhood, but will also
settle down quietly and nap when you have other things to do.  In short, she’s a
very loving and adaptable girl with a pleasant energy level who would be a great
fit for any family or home - a real gem.
