Sobe Terry is one beautiful girl. She's friendly with a stunning face and soft, soulful eyes. She walks nicely on leash. Sobe Terry is playful but not in a pushy way. She's calm and affectionate. Although she likes people, no cats, please. Sobe Terry is turning 3 in April--Happy Birthday Terry!
Foster Update 5/11/2012
Hey, hey, why are you looking at me ! You know you want to come get me! You know you want me, you know it and I KNOW it. You know I am not going to be available forever. Someone with my beauty and personality just does not stay in a foster home forever you know! So fill out the adoption application, oh, you already did? Are you approved? Hmmm, oh good, you are. Oh, what is that? You want to hear more about me? Oh, well of course, that's a reasonable request.
Let me start by saying I am quite the looker, strikingly good looking I believe is the word my foster mom used to describe me but you can see that. Oh, you want to hear more about my personality. Oh, okay. I get along really well with other dogs, both large, small and in between but NO cats please! I enjoy being brushed, I don't mind having my teeth and ears cleaned, don't you? and I don't mind manicures (nail trimmings) either. I enjoy being fawned over but not in a needy kind of way, I'm not high maintenance but I do like to be maintained - I mean who doesn't like to be well groomed right? I really, really, really, like to be scritched behind my ears. I enjoy when the kiddies play with me in the yard, sometimes I even pretend I am tired and let them catch me. I love to sun myself on the grass. You don't even have to ask but I will tell you anyway, I am potty trained. I can climb stairs like I have been doing it my whole life. I have excellent house manners. I'll settle nicely in my crate while you go run your errands, or go to work and even when you ask me to settle in for the night.
Is that enough for now?
Okay so now what are you waiting for!? Hurry up and call GFNJ and come give me my forever home, please?
Gotta go, need to rest, I believe you humans call it beauty sleep. Yawn. Stretch. Snoozzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz........
Foster Update 5/20/2012:
Just wanted to further update Sobe Terry's information from a fosters point of view.
Last week we had a rather large family gathering, all age groups in attendance. She did really well. She was not shy, she interacted with everyone without incident, she was very happy to receive attention and affection from those who gave it and she retired to her bed when we sat down to dine. She interacted with children of all ages and showed absolutely not one sign of possessiveness nor has she ever. She did not table surf, did not beg and was a complete lady. We have also been introducing Sobe Terry to our cat, she seems to be much more cat tolerant now than when first arriving, even going over the cat to give her a couple of sniffs and, yes, even, a little kiss, this is something that we will continue to work on and if she goes to a forever home with a cat should be continued. She is an absolute pleasure, she would fit in any environment, she loves attention but is not at all pushy. She knows when it is time to go rest so I can continue my chores, etc. Sobe Terry is one of those laid back girls who still just wants to have fun every once in a while.
