Stay Away Joe is a very handsome boy who had some bad luck and broke his leg while racing.  We were happy to take him into Greyhound Friends of NJ, he had surgery and has recuperated in the Prison Foster Program. He is a super nice dog. The track folks reported that he was always very friendly and good with kids who he met.  He has been a model grey in the prison and a favorite of his handler inmate and the other inmates.

He went to a Meet and Greet and the following was reported: "Don't stay away--adopt him! He has a slight limp from his broken leg but this will pass with time and some walking. He is a very happy boy. He is extremely gentle, easy to walk, not afraid of children, wheelchairs or strangers!!  We all loved him. His coloring is so unusual--more blonde than fawn. He was also great with the other dogs."
